Gerard Cerda has been an Executive Board Member of UNITEHERE Local 100 since 2025. He has worked as a Food & Merchandise Commissioned Vendor for Madison Square Garden since 2005. Working at Madison Square Garden has given him the opportunity to witness and experience firsthand many exciting events in sports and entertainment. For many of those years, Gerard has been a Shop Steward for his department and a member of the Negotiating Committee for Local 100.

In addition, Gerard has worked for Restaurants Associates at the US Open and for Levy’s at Barclays Center. Gerard is actively involved in contract negotiations to ensure fair and equitable contracts. He has also served in the Election Committee and Health Care Committee.

Gerard is a product of New York City’s Public Schools system, graduating from LaGuardia High School for Music and Arts and the Performance Arts and majoring in Political Science at City College of the City University of New York with a minor in History.

Gerard is excited to be given the opportunity to serve and work hard to ensure a healthy and transparent Union that will serve the needs of all its members.
