UNITEHERE! Local 100’s First Media Event was held on January 11th, 2017. The event was held at Lindy’s, a Union restaurant located in Midtown Manhattan. Recipients were honored with a plaque recognizing their hard work and commitment in keeping the public informed on important issues affecting the lives of the working class. Honorees were Manhattan Times & Bronx Free Press Editor Debralee Santos, Univision Journalist Enny Pichardo, NY1 Host and Executive Producer of Pura Politica talk show Juan Manuel Benitez, Labor Press Senior Editor Joe Maniscalco, Queens Latino Director Javier Castano, Producer and News Correspondent for Telemundo Diego Arias and Manhattan News Network Executive Producer Zenaida Mendez.
