UNITEHERE! Local 100’s first Airport Food Service, Beverage & Retail Workers Conference was held on November 19th, 2016. The Office of Governor Andrew M. Cuomo gave the opening remarks followed by speakers NYC Councilman Donovan Richard, District Leader Yannah Henriquez, Representative for Assemblyman David Weprin, Anthony Lemma, Assemblyman Francisco Moya, Assemblyman Clyde Vanel, NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs & NYIC Carlene Pinto, Representatives from Labor and Workforce Catalina Cruz and NYC Commission of Human Rights Pamela Vossenas.
Assembly member Clyde Vanel gave opening remarks followed by speakers State Senator James Sanders, State Senator Leroy Comrie, and Representative for Assemblyman David Weprin, Anthony Lemma. Panelists were from NYC Commission On Human Rights, Mayor Office of Immigration Affairs, Labor and Workforce Office of Governor Andrew Cuomo , New York Immigration Coalition, and UNITEHERE! Staff, Pamela Vossena, Marcela Jimenez, and Ian Mikusko.
